I started painting with an interest in objects that we hold-basic tools, musical instruments, and fresh fruit. What first meets my eye about these objects moves toward the abstract as I zoom in, investigate new angles, and bring in vibrant colors.
My most recent work, which includes Spare shown in the Northwest Fine Arts Competition, explores the essence of bowling and the energy of pets.

I moved to Seattle from the Midwest five years ago with my partner Kristin and our dog Rosa. One goal for this adventure was to make painting more a part of my life. Along the way, I have found a wonderful cohort of painters who-along with friends and family give me unending insight and encouragement to do this work.
